Taking care of your data.
Here we explain which data this website uses, why it is needed and how to contact us about your privacy.
Who is responsible?
V1 Design in Harderwijk handles the enquiries and speculative job applications you send to V1. For questions about your data or a privacy request, email info@v1.nl.
This statement covers this website, enquiries and speculative job applications. Additional arrangements may apply to project records when we work together.
When you contact us
We receive the information you enter or email: your name, email address, optional telephone number, project location, project type, requirements, project stage and message. We use this to respond and discuss a possible commission.
For enquiries about our services, the legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. For general questions, it is our legitimate interest in answering your message. We cannot respond without contact details. Your telephone number and additional project information are optional.
An email button opens your own email application. Your message is only sent when you press send there. If the form sends directly, your enquiry is delivered to V1 by email.
When you send your portfolio
We use your contact details, CV, portfolio and motivation to assess a possible collaboration and speak with you. These are steps you request in preparation for a possible agreement.
Send only relevant information. An identity document, citizen service number or medical information is not needed. We discuss any longer retention for future opportunities separately with you; you may withdraw that consent.
Retention and sharing
Correspondence is needed to handle your question, enquiry and any follow-up arrangements. For commissions, project delivery and any statutory retention obligations determine which records need to be kept. For applications, the purpose is to assess and complete the introduction; longer retention requires a separate agreement. Please ask us about the retention period for your data.
The website uses the hosting and security services of V1’s web host. The form is sent through V1’s existing mail server. Your email provider and V1’s email provider also process the email. These services receive the information needed for that purpose, such as connection information or the contents of your message.
Ask V1 which hosting and email services process your data. This website does not pass your enquiry to advertising networks.
Website visits
We use the country provided by our hosting service to choose an initial language. If unavailable, we use your browser language. Your own choice via NL / EN is stored for six months in a functional cookie. We do not request access to your precise location.
Your browser temporarily remembers your place in the project stories and whether you have seen the introduction. The enquiry form briefly uses the IP address to prevent rapidly repeated submissions and protect the form.
V1 has not added advertising pixels, external video players or visitor profiling scripts to this website. Read more about functional browser storage in the cookie policy.
Your rights
You may request access and correction and, where provided for by the GDPR, erasure, restriction or portability. You may also object to processing based on a legitimate interest and withdraw consent previously given.
Email your request to info@v1.nl. Please do not send a copy of your identity document without being asked. If verification is needed, we will agree an appropriate method with you. The statutory response period is generally one month.
This website does not make decisions about enquiries or applications based on automated profiling. If we cannot resolve your concern, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
